Soldier killed, another injured as Pakistan violates ceasefire


Srinagar, Nov 12 (IANS): An Indian Army soldier was killed and another injured as Pakistan Army violated ceasefire along the line of control (LoC) in Kupwara district in Kashmir on Saturday, police said.

According to the police, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions on the LoC in Karnah sector.

"Gunman Harshit Batoriya was killed and Mankamla injured due to the firing. The injured soldier has been rushed to hospital.

"Two other soldiers were injured yesterday (Friday) in Pakistan ceasefire violation in Keran sector," police said here.
