Udupi: Procession for Horekanike from Jan 13

Udupi, Jan 9: The procession for ‘Horekanike’ will start from Sunday January 13. The procession will be held as part of the Paryaya Utsav which will be held on Friday January 18, said Jayakara Shetty Indrali, committee leader, at press conference here on Tuesday January 8.

He further detailed the about the procession which will take place from Sunday January 13 to Thursday January 17.

On the first day, the procession will start from Kadiyali in the morning and will pass through Kalsanka-Car Street-Rajangana later it will go to Govinda Kalyana Mantap-Diana- K M Marg- Kanakadasa road- Car Street and will terminate at Rajangana in the afternoon, he detailed.

On the following day the procession of Horekanike will start from Kadiyali-Kalsanka-Maruti Vithika-Thenkapete and end at Rajangana. On Tuesday January 15 the procession will commence in the afternoon from Govinda Kalyana Mantap-Diana- K M Road- Kanakadas Road- Car Street and culminate at Rajangana. Whereas on Wednesday January 16 the Horekanike will start from Govinda Kalyan Mantap- K M Road- Shiribeedu- City bus stop- Kalsanka- Badagupete- Car Street and terminate at Rajangana, said Shetty.

The procession will start from Govinda Kalyan Mantap and reach Rajangana on Thursday January 17, he informed.
