Udupi, Jan 9: Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will take out ‘Shobha Yatra’ in the city from Wednesday January 9 to Friday January 11.
The said yatra is focused on the First War of Indian Independence which took place in 1857. The yatra will have the portraits of freedom fighters, who gave up their life for our country. The main aim of the said Yatra is to create awareness among people about 1857 events.
On Wednesday January 9 the yatra will enter the district at Sanoor near Karkala. From Sanoor it will pass through Nitte, Karkala, Ajekar and Hebri, informed N Ravikumar, district organizing secretary. The following day the Yatra will visit Kundapur and Brahmavar. From Brahmavar the yatra will enter the city and move to Manipal on the same day.
