It is necessary to make people, especially students aware of traffic rules, opined district and session judge K N Phaneendra here on Tuesday January 8.
 
He was speaking at the valedictory of the 19th National Road safety week celebration organized by the district administration, district police and regional transport authority.
 
According to him it is possible to avoid accidents by following traffic rules, it is the negligence and careless attitude of the drivers which leads to accident, he added.
 
On the occasion chief of the District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) Thimaiah, deputy transport commissioner Maruthi Sambrani and BEO D Manjunathayya were present.
