Mangalore: Action against Sangh Parivar Urged

Mangalore, Jan 8: Communal riots in undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district are occurring owing to Sangh Parivar's role in igniting communal flare-ups and backing such evils, stated B A Moideen, president of district Congress minority unit. He also urged the district administration to take action on their leaders.

Speaking to media persons at the press conference held here on Monday January 7, he stated that Sangh Parivar has been creating stage for communal flare ups in an organized manner, with eyes on the forthcoming polls in the state. Due to unjustified harassment to a section of the society, a few aggrieved Muslim youth were forced to retaliate on them. 

He urged the district police officers to take appropriate action on Sangh Parivar, in order to restrain them from kindling communal disharmony in the district.

Pushparaj Jain and Ivan D'Souza of district Congress minority unit were present at the press conference.
