Udupi: ‘Bahubhasha Vachaspati' award for Scholar Upadhyaya

Udupi, Jan 8: ‘Bahubhasha Vachaspati Prashasti' award was given to well-known scholar U P Upadhyaya by the chairman of Prasar Bharati M V Kamath here on Sunday January 7. 
 
The said function was organized by Rangabhumi, an organization dedicated to theatre.
 
Kamath lauding the achievements of Dr Upadhayaya, informed that he is a great linguist, associated with the Tulu lexicon project.
 
On the occasion a souvenir ‘Kalanjali’ brought out by Rangabhumi, was released. President of Dakshina Kannada Mogaveera Mahajana Sangha (DKMMS) Pramod Madhwaraj said that he would donate Rs 10,000 annually to Rangabhumi.
