Rajnath meets missing JNU student's mother, assures her

New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday assured Fatima Nafees that Delhi Police are doing everything possible to locate her son, the missing Jawaharlal Nehru University student Najeeb Ahmed, informed sources said.

The minister also told her that the police update him regularly on the matter.

"The Home Minister heard her patiently and assured her that the city police are on it," the source told IANS.

The Home Minister also told her that he calls regular updates on the matter of disappearance of Najeeb from the police.

Twenty-seven-year-old Ahmed, student of first year M.Sc., went missing from the JNU hostel on October 15, allegedly after an altercation with the members of RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
