Mallika Sherawat Steps into Madhubala's Shoes

Mumbai, Jan 4: Mallika Sherawat is ready to step into legendary actress Madhubala's shoes for her soon-to-be-released comedy venture "Maan Gaye Mughall-e-Azam". She will be seen dancing on the classic song "Pyar kiya to darna kya".

However, the song will be presented in a completely different format. Sanjay Chhel has written the lyrics and Anu Malik has composed it.

"The song 'Pyar kiya toh darna kya' is one of the greatest songs in the history of Indian films. No one can ever make such a beautiful song nor can anyone copy Madhubala or even forget her performance in the song," said Malik.

"As the film is a comedy and the cast play stage performers, the song has many funny lines in it and the song is not meant to hurt anyone," added Malik.

"The song has been picturised on Mallika and though the song is based on the classic song 'Pyar kiya to darna kya', it will be in a completely different tune," added Ratan Jain, who is producing it.
