Mangalore: Big 92.7 FM Celebrates New Year in Unique Way

Mangalore, Jan 3: Big 92.7 FM welcomed the New Year with a unique celebration of sorts. The Big FM team along with their own celebrity RJ Devdas Kapikad also known as ‘Thelikeda Bolli’ (star of laughter) and RJ Raghavendra visited the Mangalore Central Jail on Tuesday January 1 and spent time interacting with the jail inmates.

This was a complete treat to the inmates who had special visitors for New Year! The station also played host to actress Ramya who interacted with listeners in a special ‘Meet-and-Greet’ activity, which proved to be an excellent gift for New Year to her fans.

Living up to its brand-line of Keli Kelisi life Nimmadagisi! BIG 92.7 FM organized a fun-filled and a memorable day for the inmates of Mangalore Central Jail. The day began with RJs of BIG 92.7 FM, namely Devdas Kapikad and Raghavendra entertaining the inmates with lot of songs and jokes followed by cutting of the New Year Cake.

The RJs also interacted with the inmates taking them on-air to express their views and speak to their families outside. This was a truly emotional moment for the inmates and the BIG FM team. The team also presented a Big Radio to Mangalore Central Jail authorities. The radio was welcomed by the authorities and the inmates, who can now enjoy some excellent programmes from BIG 92.7 FM, the city’s favourite radio station.
 
To ensure a wholesome entertainment mix to its listeners, Sandalwood celebrity - actress Ramya paid a special visit to the Mangalore Studio on this day for a 'Meet and Greet' with the listeners.

Ramya went live on-air with RJ Raghavendra and interacted with the listeners who rushed to the studios just to get a glimpse of her. She spent valuable time with the listeners posing for photographs and interacting with children.
