Canon India launches six new inkjet printers

New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS): Expanding its portfolio for home and office users, digital imaging company Canon India on Tuesday launched six new inkjet printers.

The multi-function MAXIFY MB5470 and MB5170 and the single-function MAXIFY iB4170 are priced respectively at Rs 22,495, Rs 16,495 and Rs 9,995.

The three printers support the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) which allows multi-device management and monitoring via popular fleet management applications such as Canon's imageWARE Enterprise Management Console (iWEMC) and PrintFleet.

"With the introduction of this range, we are targeting 25 per cent market share in the inkjet printer category in 2017," said Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India, in a statement.

The PIXMA TS8070 and TS5070 printers support the Wireless Direct protocol so that mobile devices can be connected easily without the use of a wireless router.

Equipped with a six-colour hybrid ink system, the PIXMA TS8070 comes with a new 4.3-inch colour touchscreen LCD panel combined with a fully touch-sensitive operation panel (Intelligent Touch System) and supports automatic two-sided printing, printing from memory cards and can also print directly on printable CD and DVD surfaces.

The PIXMA TS8070 is priced at Rs 17,995 and PIXMA TS5070 costs Rs 9,995.

Priced at Rs 16,995, the wireless multi-function PIXMA G4000 ink tank printer allows users to enjoy high volume printing, copying and faxing at low running costs.

All six products will be available across the country, starting first week of November.
