UP Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi joins BJP

Oct 20 (Agencies): Former Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi on Thursday joined the BJP in the presence of party chief Amit Shah.

67-year-old Bahuguna, currently an MLA from Lucknow Cantonment, was said to be unhappy with the Congress leadership over projection of Sheila Dikshit as the party's chief ministerial face for the upcoming UP elections. She also felt increasingly marginalised since Raj Babbar was made the UP party chief.

Her joining the BJP comes as a shot in its arm as it will help the saffron party consolidate Brahmin votes.

Bahuguna's brother and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna had joined the BJP a few months back.

    One lumpsum at this retirement age when there is someone to lavish on her... why not. Anyway she will be a withering lotus ready to check it out in the dust bin anytime. When godfathers are there in the corporate section, why not...money will not be a criteria at all for the ruling party to indulge in such activity.

    Hey Hypocrites,
    BESHARAM JANARA PARTY beyond doubt proved that, They doesn't matter Quality, but need Quantity. It worries me, sometime they may purchase Chinese made fighter jets, where Chinese offer is "BUY 1 & GET 2 FREE" neglecting the safety of the combat pilots, They may say,since we have 1.3 billion population to fiil the GAP.

    Rita Bahuguna as the name says she is BAHUGUNA means many various behavioral characters. She was enjoyed a lot in Congress and when they d other person as CM candidate, she got mad started to finding fault with Congress.
    These people are worst than wild mad animals, because they vomit and eat the same. It applies to all party members.

    Like father like children. Her father the Late H. N. Bahuguna was well known for party hopping. Now the siblings are simply outshining the father. There is however a question for the party with a difference. Vijay Bahuguna her brother was the congress chief minister of Uttaranchal. While he was in power he was deemed, corrupt, useless, incapable and inefficient by the BJP and they agitated and got him removed from his post. How come he has become clean suddenly and taken into the BJP fold? The same is the case with Vittal Radhadiya known for several acts of violence. He was a congress MP and during that time the BJP had all kinds of complaints against him. Now that he has joined the BJP, he has suddenly become a saint. Rita Bahuguna's departure is of no significance to the congress party. At least in the congress she had some respect, now she will be used as a dust bin.
