Mangalore, Jan 1: The management of the city based Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Attavar, has been doing injustice to the Dalits and down trodden society with its ill conceived policies and the 'voluntarily extended cooperation’ of bureaucrats, hence, immediate actions should be taken against the network, urged Shivappa Renkada Guttu, state president of Dr BR Ambedkar Foundation.

He was briefing media persons on the injustices being done to Dalits’ and down trodden society, at the press conference here on Monday, December 31.

The business of spurious liquor is being carried out rampantly in Beltangady taluk, Gangi Reddy (circle inspector) and Ramakrishna (sub inspector) of Belthangady police station have been torturing the innocents, in order to help king-pin of spurious liquor Harish Kumar while Vasant Bangera, former MLA, seems to be going out of his way to shield them.  Hence, all of them should be arrested at the earliest, he added.

A higher police official, in the district, has been involved in misusing the seized vehicle, that was seized seven months ago under Pandeshwara Police limits, moreover he allowed one of his kins to use the seized vehicle, hence he should be arrested along with his subordinate officer, who facilitated the misuse of power and allowed the kin to use the seized vehicle for more than seven months since it was seized.

The foundation has also decided to stage a protest march from Jyothi circle (Ambedkar Circle) to Deputy Commissioner's Office in the city during the second week of January 2008 and ‘Rajbhavan Chalo’ would also be held 15 after staging the protest march, he added.
