Mangalore, Dec 31:

  • ¾ of farmers would be behind bars if state follows Gujarat
  • Why communal clashes which is not in other places
  • Victory of Congress is certain in coming elections
  • Yes, Modi is truly the merchant of death
  • Religion is vote catching tool for BJP

It is Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the silent consent of The Sangh Parivar which proposed and inked the Sethu Samudram Project (controversial Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project).  Moreover, Shatrughan Sinha, Arun Jaitley and Goyal are the ones who followed up the project till it was being materialized.  If it’s disproved, then I would resign, said Janardhan Poojary, member of Rajya Sabha.

Commenting on the former chief minister, B S Yediyurappa's statement that Karnataka would look for Narendra Modi mode of governance, he said that Karnataka is the land of pioneers of peace like Basavanna and others.  Moreover, the society of Karnataka is peace loving society, which stands for communal harmony and social justice, thus following Modi-pattern will be a day dream.

The saint and seers never preferred violence to peace in the state, having born in the state the former CM must think of strengthening the state on Basava-Tatva (principles and preaching of Basava), instead the former CM is thinking of following Modi, which is totally ridiculous, he said in his sharp response to the declaration by Yediyurappa that the state BJP would follow ‘Modi-Model’.

Accepting the occurrence of anti incumbent factor which dethroned Congress from Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, he said that it is obvious that Congress lost to BJP in the two states, but congress is still strong in other states. Giving the example of Gujarat, he said the statistics of voting counts revealed that Congress had claimed 45 percent of the votes in its favour, despite the total population of minority being 9 percent in the state.

Pointing out the occurrences of possibility of recent communal clash at Batwal, he said “why communal clashes are occurring sporadically in the undivided district, which is not concentrated phenomenon in other places like Shimoga, this shows that Sangh Parivar and BJP have taken the Hindutva in the district on contract basis”, he said ensuing heated arguments.

Expressing his doubt over that BJP and Sangh Parivar are loyal to the constitution of the nation, he said, “even an ignorant child knows it must seek the help of police to solve or settle problem related to law and order, but, Sangh Parivar has no such commitment. Stripping some ones clothes on the suspicion of involving in undesirable activity is next to inhuman, which is condemnable”, he expressed his resentment.

Ramanath Rai, former minister, UT Khader, MLA of Ullal and others were present at the pres conference.
