Tokyo, Oct 14 (IANS): Tokyo stocks rose from the bell on Friday as a rebound in oil prices and the yen's depreciation against the US dollar combined to create a buoyant market mood.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, advanced 1.60 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 1,343.91.
