M'lore: Qualis Hits KSRTC Bus in Bhatkal, 2 Injured.

Mangalore Dec 26, 2007: A Karnataka state transport bus from Bhatkal traversing towards Udupi was hit by a Qualis car recently on  the NH 17 near Sarpankatta, Bhatkal. Two passengers seated in the Qualis car were badly injured due to the impact of the of the crash.
 
The Qualis car was on its way from Mumbai  cruizing  towards Mangalore city when the collision occured. The two persons injured in the accident have been identified as Bhushan Prabhakar Chkradev (36) and Surabi Deepak Chakradev(4) of Chuna Bhatti in Mumbai.

According to sources the Qualis car hit the KSRTC bus from the rear side, when the driver of the KSRTC bus applied a sudden brake. The impact was so severe that the entire frontal portion of the Qualis was completely mauled and damaged beyond recognition. 
 
The reason for which has not been ascetained so far.  The family in the Qualis was going to Mangalore after visiting Murdeshwar on the way.
 
On receiving this information some social workers and other locals reached the spot and rushed the injured people to the hospital and even made alternate arrangements for another vehicle to take the injured persons to a hospital in the city.
 
A case has been registered in the rural police station of Bhatkal in this regard with the police sub inspector Paatil investigating the case.
