Mangalore: City AIR Bags Second Place in All-India Sangeeta Pratibha

Mangalore, Dec 25: City unit of All-India Radio viz., Akashavani has secured the second place in the All-India Akashavani Sangeeta Pratibha (AISP) competition for the year 2007.

Meghana Moorthi from Puttur representing the city-based Akashavani in the Carnatic classical vocal section bagged the second prize in the national-level competition.

She has therefore become the B grade Akashavani artiste and has been included as a member of the city Akashavani artistes, stated a press release.
