M'lore: Beary Community to have its Own Research Programme

Mangalore, Dec 23: Akhila Bharata Beary Parishat (ABBP) president B A Mohammed Haneef informed recently at a press meet that the launching ceremony of a research programme on Beary people, language, literature and culture would be held at Hotel Moti Mahal in the city on Monday Dec 24.
 
According to Haneef the research programme would be undertaken by eight Beary organizations and researchers. The main objective of the programme would be to conduct an indepth study of the Beary people, language, literature and culture for documentation purpose.
 
The launching ceremony for the same will be done by the former minister B A Mohideen and would be presided over by the Beary's Welfare Association president B M Farooq. While the keynote address would be delivered by the ABBP convenor J Hussain, Haneef further informed.
 
The chief guest on the occasion would be Federation of Muslim Educational Institutions (FMEI)  president Mohammed Beary Edapa davu. Udupi-based Rashtra Kavi Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra director Dr Susheela Upadhyaya would preside over, he added.
