Kundapur: Regional Conference of Intl Lions District 324-d4 held

Kundapur, Dec 19: The Third Regional conference of international lions district 324-d4 was recently held here at Rotary Laxmi Narashiha Kalamandir.

The First Lioness of the Third province Veena Kotian inaugurated the conference. Ln Rajeev Kotian, president of the Third province presided over the conference. Ex-Governor Ln Prakash T Soans and the present governor Ln Dr B S Nagaprakash performed the service programme.

Suvarna Karnataka award winner Sheena Suvarna was felicitated on the occasion. Prof K P Putturaya, head of the department of Physiology of Bangalore MGM medical College spoke on the occasion. Dr Shubha Marvanthe, Kannada lecturer, Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College participated in the programme as resource person. Hebbandy Basavarajappa, deputy governor of the lion’s district delivered the introductory speech.

K Ramanada, president of the conference committee and Netravathi welcomed the gathering. Jalaja Rajendra Tholar and Prakash Bettin compered programme. Niranjan M Salwadi proposed the vote of thanks. Ramananda Kamath, president of Kundapur Haasya Sangha presented humorous skits and programme during the evening programme and the conference came to end with the dance programme by the Step-on-Step group.
