Bangalore: HDK Rubbishes Prakash’s ‘Value-based Politics’

Bangalore, Dec 17: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy took an indirect dig at M P Prakash, who recently quit the JD(S), questioning his claims of practising value-based politics.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Kumaraswamy said: “Those who quit the JD(S) stating that they want to uphold value-based politics and party ideology are also claiming that they have options to join the Congress, BJP, BSP and SP.

They allege that there is no freedom in the JD(S). But why didn’t they raise these issues when they were enjoying power? Why now after the fall of our government.?’’

Terming the JD(S) a most-democratic party, Kumaraswamy said: “No other party has given so much freedom to its members.’’ He also said that the recent exit of some leaders from the JD(S) would have no impact on the party.

The JD(S) is like a factory that churns out quality leaders and it will continue to do so in the coming days as well.
