Kinnigoli, Dec 16: The annual day celebration of Pompei Pre-University College, located at Aikala, near here, was held on Saturday, December 15. 
 
Fr Charles Noronha, correspondent of College, Sucharita Shetty, old student and Zilla Panchayat president, were the chief guest, present on the occasion.








Fr Jerome D'Souza, principal of the college, in his introductory address, briefly narrated the background and distinct progress of college, from its humble beginning in the remote area. Sucharita Shetty, reminisced over his college days and called upon the students to make their mark in their studies and extra-curricular activities, in order to become worthy citizens of our country. He congratulated the Catholic community on their dedicated work and service for the poor and needy in the field of education and medicine.
 
Prizes were distributed by the chief guests to the students who scored highest marks in the last academic year and in the annual sports meet. Srinivas Bhat proposed vote of thanks and Chandru K compered the programme. Cultural activities including dance, skit were held by the students after the stage programme.
