Mangalore: First Results of Autonomous SAC Declared

Mangalore, Dec 11: The results of St Aloysius College were declared on Friday December 8.It was the first results announced after the College became autonomous, said Fr Sweebert D’Silva, principal of the College, at press conference here on Monday December 10.

He further said that the autonomy has given the college the command to set their own syllabus, possibility of organizing an exam and declaring the results. But the degree certificates will be offered by the University.

The students have to undergo seminars, paper presentations and attendance continuously under the autonomous evaluation. A final exam of three hours is also conducted, he added.

Fr D’Silva said that the syllabus has been made more industry and society oriented so that it would help the students in the future.
    
Prof A M Narahari, registrar of evaluation said that that the system of evaluation is student friendly, objective and responsible. Each and every paper is re-evaluated by an external faculty in case the students are not satisfied by the internal evaluation.
