Dharmasthala: All Religion Convention Conveys Universality

Dharmasthala, Dec 9: Padmabhushan, Dr Sonal Mansingh of internationally renowned musician was inaugurating the auditorium called ‘Amruthavarshini’ which was built by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, in order to commemorate the platinum jubilee celebrations of All Religion and Literary Convention, on Friday, December 7 while on the other hand, sugar candies were distributed to all those arrived for the occasion.  This has been the special feature of significant event held at Dharmasthala, who are known to celebrate any event in their innovative manner.







 

  • The auditorium was inaugurated in a traditional style as   followed in house blessing ceremony.  The traditional welcome offered to all the dignitaries to the dais was also significant indeed.  The decorated bulls led the procession while the Gurkar (community leader) followed along with the traditionally dressed women carrying vegetables.
  • The auditorium was inaugurated in four distinct manner has been significant of Dharmasthala celebrations.  Ten earthen wares were placed at the venue filled with raw soil while the seeds were sowed in it.  The water was poured in brass vessels.  The seeds will sprout in few days.  This act signifies the fact that personality development tasks are the regular features at Dharmasthala.  Later on, the exhibition glow sign was unveiled with the ritualistic manner.  
  • The platinum jubilee banner displayed on the dais was conveying the message of unity among the multitude of religions across the nation.
  •  The both sides of the stage were conveying the splendor of rural living.  The brass engraved ‘Nandi’ (colt), towers and arches offered additional touch to the stage.
  • The wooden carved doors of traditional Tulunad pattern were erected on either side of the stage while the portrait of late Manjayya Heggade, the father of Dr D Veerendra Heggade was hung up majestically.  
  • It was significant that when the convention was held during the reign of Manjayya Heggade, in the past, his daughter was playing at the stage.  However, when the platinum jubilee celebration was held under the reign of Dr D Veerendra Heggade, his grand children are playing at the stage.  
  • Dr Gopal Mansingh has arrived at Dharmasthala during 1961, in order to attend the first religious rites, namely, tying the holy thread, of Dr D Veerendra Heggade, when he was just 17 years old.  
  • Over 3 thousand people attended the first All Religious and Literary Convention in the past, while the large number of people gathered during platinum jubilee celebrations.
  • Dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, acknowledges the divinity of Sri Manjunatheshwar for the success of this historical event, held in Dharmasthal while Gopal Mansingh, gives attributes to universal religion
