M'lore: Partner Dance Competitions at ‘Konkani Bazaar’

Mangalore, Dec 6: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy will be organizing ‘Konkani Bazaar’, a temporary retail outlet where all the Konkani books, CDs, VCDs and Konkani weeklies, journals will be available under one roof.  As a special attraction, Christmas cards, stars, Christmas tree, decorative items, crib, Kuswar and cakes will also be available.  Konkani Bazaar will be held at Infant Jesus Shrine auditorium, Bikarnakatte from Tuesday December 20 to Monday, December 24.  Those who wish to put up their stalls are requested to contact the Academy.

Moreover ‘Konkani Dance’ competitions will be held at ‘Konkani Bazaar’ as part of entertainment programme from Friday December 21 to Sunday December 23, at 5.00 pm.  The competitions will be held in primary, higher primary and high school divisions.  Cash award of Rs 1001/, Rs 751/ and Rs 501/ will be presented along with equal amount of books. 

Those students who wish to take part in the competitions are requested to apply with the recommendation letter issued from their respective heads of schools, to the Registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, Mangalore City Corporation Building, Lalbagh, Mangalore – 575 003.
