Puttur Dec 06: ‘Kallza Solfam’ album of Konkani songs was blessed and released by Rev.Fr.Gerald D’Souza, Vicar of Mai De Deus church here after the second mass on Sunday 2nd December 2007, informs a press release.
Rev. Fr. Gerald D’Souza released the same CD again in the evening just before staging the drama “Kutumba” organized by the Christian Union Puttur, at the Mai De Deus church grounds. Valarean Dias, Xavier D’Souza, Rose Mary, Maurice Mascarenhas and Lancy Mascarenhas were present.
The album is produced by Guyton Lobo, M.B.A., director of Elite Groups, Bangalore. The album contains songs written by Alex Madtha, Guyton Lobo and Jerry Rasquinha. Songs are sung by ‘Yodelling King’ Melwyn Peris, ‘Gumtam Raay’ Joachim Pereira, Alwyn Fernandes, Joseph Pinto, Leena Pais, Babitha D’Costa and Priya Mascarenhas.
The release concludes with a hope that ‘Kallza Solfam’ would prove itself to be one of the finest Konkani albums ever made and released.
