Mangalore: ‘Sonia Opted for Dissolution of Karnataka Assembly’

Mangalore, Dec 5: Even though former Prime Minister and H D Deve Gowda, JDS leader were ready to form a government with the Congress in the state, Sonia Gandhi, Congress president opted for the dissolution of the Karnataka assembly, said M Veerappa Moily, AICC media chairman here on Tuesday December 4.

Speaking to reporters he said that Sonia Gandhi decided to go for fresh polls in the state thus rejecting Gowda’s offer.

He further said that the people of the state were disappointed with the JDS-BJP coalition government and now are looking for a stable government in the state, he added.

BJP did not have any ounce of accountability, said Moily alleging that there was lot of corruption during the previous regime.

The people have a firm belief that Congress will be able to provide stable government, he added.
