Mangalore: Judicial Custody for Ghanaian Cheat Duo

Mangalore, Nov 26: Sherif (42) and Jonathan (2(), two Ghanaian nationals arrested by the city police on charges of duping people with promise of duplication of dollars, have been remanded to 15 days' judicial custody by a court here.

They were picked from a lodging house in Mission Street here on Saturday, after complaints were received against them about their cheating the public with false assurances of duplication of currency. They had reportedly led many persons into believing that they could create dollar notes with chemicals and paper.

Three bottles of chemicals, 3 bundles each of 100 black paper sheets cut to size, 200 US dollars, three cellphones and Rs 5,000 in cash have been seized from their possession.
