Mangalore: Bearys Welfare Forum Invites Applications to Mass Wedding

Mangalore, Nov 25: Bearys Welfare Forum, Abu Dhabi has embarked on mass wedding, with a view to encourage girls from economically weaker section of Muslim community to get married.  

The mass wedding will be held in Mangalore during first week of January 2008, while the Forum would spend Rs 1 lac on each couple, including gold jewellery to the bride, financial assistance to couple and wedding expenses.  

The Muslim community residing in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district can avail the benefit while a maximum of 10 couples would be solemnized in marriage.

Those girls, who are orphaned, physically challenged and exceeded marriageable-age will be given preference.   The applicants will have the entire responsibility to find their own partners. 

Those interested are expected to send their application stating the name, age, address, contact telephone numbers of the bride and bridegroom, recommendation letter issued by Jamaat to Ummer U H, C – 42, 3 rd floor, Al – Rahaba Plaza, Nellikai Road, Mangalore – 575 001. (Telephone Number 98450 54191), latest by Thursday, December 20. 

The decision of selection committee will be considered final.   Those couples selected for mass wedding will be informed the date of wedding, venue and other details by Tuesday, December 30.
