Mangalore: Rotary Club to Organise Orphanage Olympics

Mangalore Nov 25: Orphanage Olympics 2007 is being organised by Rotary Club Mangalore Central at Canara Girls high school here today on Sunday,  November 25. Nearly 700 children from 8 orphanages will be participating in this unique event informs a press release.

The event is at 8 am and will conclude at 7 pm. Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura is inaugurating the programme while district governor of Rotary district 3180 Krishna Shetty is the chief guest.

President of DK Milk co-operative union Kapu Diwakar Shetty will preside. The sports competitions is being organized in the morning while cultural programmes will be held in the afternoon, adds press release.

The winners will receive attractive prizes. This is for the 10th time the Orphanage Olympics is being organized in the city.
