M'lore: Mother Mary Bible Class, Club Inaugurated at Permanoor

Mangalore, Nov 24: Mother Mary Bible class and Mother Mary bible club were inaugurated for the parishioners of St Sebastian’s Church Permanoor near here recently.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated both the class and the club by lighting the lamp.



The Bible class which has been arranged for the elders and the Bible Club that has been planned for the children will be a great help to have a thorough knowledge of the Word of God, to make an effective use of the Word of God, and to make the Word of God active in the parish.

The Bishop praised the efforts of the parish community to organize such programmes and prayed for the blessings of the Almighty upon them.

Fr Boniface Pinto, director, Diocesan Biblical Centre was the chief guest on the occasion.

Fr Thomas D’Souza, parish priest welcomed the gathering.

Fr Vincent Monteiro, the convener of the club and the class and assistant priest presented the aim and mission of the class and the club.

Fr Clement Mascarenhas, principal of the college, Sr Stella Pais, Harry Tellis and Joseph D’Souza were the other guests present on the dais.

A Bible based skit was enacted by 125 Bible Club students on this occasion.
