Mangalore: ‘Kudla Kalaavali’ in the city on Nov 24 & 25

Mangalore, Nov 23: SS creations and artists from undivided DK districts will organize first ever mega ‘Kudla Kalavali- Kalamela (an exhibition-cum-sale of art works) will be inaugurated at Kadri Park, in the city on Saturday, November 24, N N Pattar, co-coordinator, ‘Kudla Kalavali Kalamela’ announced at the press conference here on Thursday, November 22.
 
The two days exhibition-cum-sale will be inaugurated by Ananthakrishna, chairman, Karnataka Bank. Maheshwar Rao, deputy commissioner, DK district, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, DK, Kumble Nrasimha Prabhu, president, Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), Krishna J Palemar, MLA, Suratkal and Dr Mohan Alva, Alva's Education Foundation will be the chief guests. The programme will be presided over by D K Chowta, eminent artist, he added.
 
‘Chitta Chittara’, painting competition for primary school students, ‘Laita Nisarga’, landscape demonstration, ‘Bhaavaninada’, portrait demonstration, will be inaugurated on Saturday, November 24, followed by cultural programme, he elaborated.
 
‘Chitta Chittara’, painting competition for high-school students, ‘Kshanabimba’, photography demonstration, ‘Bhaavasankalana’, collage demonstration and ‘Shringara Bhitti’, mural demonstration, will be inaugurated on Sunday, November 25, he informed.
 
The valedictory ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 25. Vinay Hegde, chairman, Nitte Education Trust will preside over the ceremony. Mohammed B G, senior artist will be felicitated on the same occasion, in the presence of Ganesh Rao, chairman, Karavali Group of Institutions, Satish Kumar, SP, Raghuram Shet, S L Shet Diamond House, U T Khader, MLA, Ullal, Y Abdul Kunhi, Yenepoya Group and Ramdas Adyatnyaya, reputed artist of the city will be the chief guests, he added. 
 
Karunakar M H, organizer, Dinesh Holla, secretary, Ganesh Somayaji, president and other office bearers of ‘Kudla Kalavali’ were present at the press conference.
