IS radio station destroyed in Afghanistan


Kabul, Jul 14 (IANS): An Islamic State (IS) radio station was destroyed and some militants were killed on Thursday in a drone strike in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province.

A few important IS figures, including radio technical experts, were among those killed in the strike, Xinhua news agency reported.

The security forces had in the past also destroyed an IS radio station in Achin district. The militants, however, repaired their radio and resumed their propaganda in the past.
