Kareena, Ranbir Bring Kapoor Clan Together

Mumbai, Nov 16: What the other Kapoor scions couldn't do, cousins Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor have done. They've broken the ice between the warring factions - Babita and her two star-daughters on one side and the rest of the Kapoor clan.

In fact, so intense was the animosity between the two sides that the two Kapoor daughters-in-law - Babita and Neetu Singh - barely exchanged words even in public.

But the scenario has changed considerably lately with Kareena openly making appreciative statements about her cousin's debut, going as far as to say Ranbir looked 'stunning' in the movie.

"I loved 'Saawariya'. It's awesome. And Ranbir is so good. We Kapoors are here to rock together," Kareena said.

Ranbir reciprocated by seeing his Bebo didi's much talked-about new film 'Jab We Met'. Ranbir was bowled over by Kareena's performance and made no bones about it.

"Agreed, we stay in our own individual spaces and do our own thing. But there never was any open enmity among us. Why should there be? We're family. We may not meet every day. But we're all there for each other all the time. I think Lolo didi and Bebo didi have made us all proud. I hope I do the same," said Ranbir.

At the premiere of 'Saawariya' last week, Kareena, who walked in with Saif Ali Khan, looking stunning in a black sari, insisted on sitting in the same row with the entire Kapoor clan, including her father Randhir Kapoor and uncle Rishi Kapoor.

"We had offered to put Kareena and Saif in a different enclave from the rest of the Kapoors who were there in full force to support Ranbir. But Kareena insisted on sitting with the rest of the family to show support for her cousin," said an organiser of the premiere.
