Advani misses oath ceremony due to sister's illness


New Delhi, July 5 (IANS): Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani on Tuesday missed the swearing-in ceremony of 19 new ministers as he was in Mumbai to be with his ailing sister.

The 89-year-old leader had to miss the swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. 

"An official invite regarding the swearing-in ceremony of new ministers was received by his office but he had already left for Mumbai to see his ailing sister," his aide told IANS.
