New Delhi, Jul 5 (IANS): A day after cloudy weather, the national capital woke up to a sunny and humid Tuesday morning as the minimum temperature settled at 27.9 degrees Celsius, average for the season, the Met office said.
"There will be generally cloudy sky on Tuesday. Light rain or thundershower is expected to occur in some areas," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
The humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 80 per cent.
Monday's maximum temperature settled at 34.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average while minimum temperature of the day was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
