6 killed in UP road accident


Lucknow, Jul 4 (IANS): Six people were killed and over 40 injured on Monday in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah city, police said.

The accident took place when a speeding bus rammed into a truck in the Civil Lines area of the city.

Police said the victims included a child and two women.

District Magistrate Nitin Bansal said the accident was caused due to the bus driver trying to save a bull on the road.

The victims were identified.
