CCPA meet on Wednesday to decide on monsoon session


New Delhi, June 28 (IANS): The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA), chaired by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, will meet on Wednesday to finalise the dates for Parliament's monsoon session, which is likely to begin from July 18.

"The CCPA will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) in room number 155 of South Block," an official source told IANS. 

According to the source, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs M. Venkaiah Naidu will meet all the ministers, followed by a cabinet meeting, and then the CCPA meeting in the same room of the South Block building. 

The BJP-led NDA government is hopeful of getting the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other important bills passed with its increased numbers in the Rajya Sabha after the elections to the upper house.
