Pampore attack: UP announces aid for families of slain CRPF troopers


Lucknow, Jun 28 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday announced financial aid of Rs 20 lakh each to the families of five CRPF troopers who died in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on June 25.

The five martyred troopers belonged to the state. They are Kailash Kumar Yadav from Unnao district, Sanjay Kumar from Jaunpur, Veer Singh from Firozabad, Satish Chandra from Meerut and Rajesh Kumar from Allahabad.

They are among the eight troopers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) killed when terrorists fired on their vehicle in Pampore in Pulwama district on June 25.
