Mumbai, Nov 13: Actor Manoj Bajpai got smacked hard by Dia Mirza and ended up giving her a new name.

Funny incidents do happen on movie sets. One such happened when Dia Mirza and Manoj Bajpai were shooting for their short film ‘Zaheer’, which is part of Sanjay Gupta’s Dus Kahaniyan.

A scene in the film was supposed to show Dia slapping Manoj. The two actors had rehearsed the shot and it was decided that Dia would wave her hand close by Manoj’s cheek to give the impression of a slap.

However, when the camera got rolling, the scene didn’t turn out as planned.

Dia apparently got so involved in her character that she actually smacked a tight slap on Manoj’s cheek. Manoj was stunned for a moment but he continued with the scene because director Sanjay Gupta did not call ‘cut’.

Gupta has decided to keep the shot in the film because of its real look.

It was only later Manoj realized the strength of Dia’s blow. The actress was apologetic but Manoj did not blame her and was pretty cool about it.

Moreover, after the incident Manoj began calling Dia by a new name – Deepak, because of her manly strength. And the actress didn’t mind the compliment.
