Light rainfall, cloudy Tuesday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Jun 28 (IANS): A light rainfall with cloudy skies on Tuesday morning brought respite from hot and humid temperature in the national capital decreasing the minimum temperature to three notches below the season's average at 25 degree Celsius.

"Till 8.30 a.m, the city has received 13.4 mm in last 24 hours," an official at India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

He said from 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m., the city has received 7.4 mm rainfall.

"The sky will remain cloudy and light rainfall is expected in the day ahead," the official added.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 36 degree Celsius.

The humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 98 per cent.

Monday's minimum temperature was recorded at 30.0 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average while maximum temperature was 39.6 degrees, two notches above the season's average.
