Himachal police to hold half-marathon against drug abuse


Shimla, June 25 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Police is organising a half-marathon here on Sunday to generate awareness against drug abuse, an organiser said on Saturday.

Besides the 21.5 km half-marathon, there will be mini-marathon of 10 km and dream run of three km, a police officer told IANS.

The theme of half-marathon is "Drug-Free Himachal".

The event would start at the historic Ridge, an open space just above The Mall.

In all categories, the participants above the age of 75 would be given a consolation prize of Rs 750 for the dream run, Rs 1,100 for the mini-marathon and Rs 2,100 for the half-marathon.
