Sena asks Modi if Yoga will relieve pain of inflation

Mumbai, Jun 23 (PTI) : In yet another salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shiv Sena today said bringing yoga to the centre stage of the world was a praise-worthy effort, but will practising the ancient form of exercise relieve people of the pain of inflation.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi deserves praise for making 130 countries perform yoga. The world bends if somebody makes it do so. Through yoga, Modi made 130 nations lay on the ground.

"What is now needed is to make Pakistan lie down forever. This can only happen with the help of weapons. Pakistan deserves a permanent 'Shavaasan' (a yoga position that involves lying down like a corpse)," the Sena said in an editorial in its mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

It said that while chief ministers of non-BJP states may oppose Modi, yoga is a science that should not be opposed.

"A lot can be achieved through yoga. But, in daily life, can yoga help in relieving the pains of high inflation and corruption? It would be good if a clarification is given on this as well," it said.

The United Nations had last year declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.

Lakhs of people across India and abroad stretched themselves in various postures to mark the second International Yoga Day as the Prime Minister maintained that yoga is not a religious activity.

Sena, which is part of the BJP-led governments in Maharashtra and at the Centre, has been critical of BJP and the Modi government following strain in their ties since their alliance in Maharashtra collapsed ahead of the October 2014 Assembly polls due to problems over seat-sharing.

Though they did come together after the election, Sena has been reduced to a junior partner and has lost no opportunity to hit out at BJP leaders.

Recently, Sena had been critical of Modi's remarks abroad about India being plagued by corruption, saying they "maligned the nation's image", and questioned if scams in BJP-ruled Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat can be attributed to others.

'Health is wealth', or so goes the famous saying. The Union Budget for 2015-16 came close in spirit and word, putting some of the nation's wealth behind its health. The focus on 'Swachh Bharat' in the Budget underscored the need for increased health and cleanliness awareness among people in addressing the basic health issues in the country and thereby realizing the vision of a healthy India.

Asia's third-largest economy spends about 1 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) on public health, compared with 3 percent in China and 8.3 percent in the United States. Indian states manage their health budgets separately.

How to balance the deficit in health budget. The $80 billion business of yoga is a win-win game for mind and pocket.

India had an estimated 31,705,000 diabetics in the millennium year which is estimated to grow by over 100% to 79,441,000 by 2030.At least 74 drugs including life-saving ones used to treat cancer and HIV and haemophilia the list includes kidney stones, heart rhythm disorders, diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, bone diseases, bacterial infections, anesthetic medication, allergies, arthritis, lupus, menopause, glaucoma, poisoning by a chemical or pesticide, growth failure in children and ulcerative colitis.

Education costs have risen 13 per cent, housing 10 per cent, healthcare 14 per cent and electricity 8 per cent since Modi took charge in May 2014, time series data on CPI inflation collected by the Ministry of Statistics showed.

But govt is taking order from Swami and blame RBI governor for everything.Whereas media campaigner successfully kept the Indian mind engaged. While rest of India one more India goes to bed hungry and another farmer consumes pesticide.
'Acche din' is distant reality but 'Bache din' seems difficult going at this rate.

Its very correct observation by Shiv Sena.
Yoga is good for physical health and mental heath, but its not a only solution, way!
Several countries in the world are progressed without Yoga and India is lagging behind.
Ramdev, Yoga guru, went all over India saying that If Modi/BJP comes to power, all Indians will get 15 lakhs from black money stashed abroad.
It was a utter lie, just to garner votes for BJP. Despite being a Yogi
    his conscience didn't prick him.
Did Yoga made him a good person?
    Has his moral values improved?

Right question at the right time.
PM instead of concentrating on economic and other burning issue of commodity price hikes goes on spreading vision of Yoga. Leave the personal (physical or mental) health issues to the public and we are used to face life and the solutions. Tomorrow if something major medical treatment is required even Yoga Guru also will run to the medical practitioner including the PM. (may be foreign Hospital.
Those who have time and riches are more worried about tensions of all sorts and resort to Yoga therapy. Why special publicity by PM.

Very good question. Mr. Modi never delivered through his political rhetoric about mind health and the gospel of yoga.

He was fully concentrated in the aachi din promise of corruption-free India, massive job creation and export, clean India etc.

The first promise was the Rs. 90 lakh crore black money share, thus Rs. 15 lakh/person person. Some of the party comrades are telling that it was only for the poor. If so, 400 million people of India who are living with $ 1.25/day or less must get that at first, then the balance can be distributed.

Those promises are bygone history but the greatest contribution to the whole world from the savior of India is "yoga". Now, he is telling that "yoga" has no religion in that, so everybody must practice. It is a good exercise, do that. But, Mr. Modi was not voted for yoga exercise fulfillment.

"COME UNTO ME, ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND BURDENED, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST". JESUS SAID, THERE IS NO RELIGIOUS STRING WITH THAT STATEMENT ( MATHEW 11:28-BIBLE). BUT IF I TELL THAT, THEN THAT IS CLASSIFIED AS FORCED CONVERSION.

So, he is the incarnation to India to bring health through yoga. He is going to force hundreds of medical colleges to close and thousands of doctors are going to be jobless. Most of them owe crores of Rs. to the banks, thus the Indian banks are going to be faced with very serious economic whirlwind.

It seems like Mr. Modi is going to demolish the world-wide healthcare industry. 18% of the GDP of the U.S. is based on the medical industry they will be blocking the visits of Mr. Modi because he is trying to undermine the U.S. economy through his "yoga" healing service. What a paradox, he is offering 100% ownership of the FDI in the pharmaceutical industry.
So, can you explain, 100% healing in mind or body through yoga miracle?

Why he is not enforcing this healing mechanism upon his close comrades like Amith Shaw and many cabinet Ministers?

Mr. Modi in his affidavit as a candidate didn't tell the truth about his marital status. He was married and divorced but did a terrible misrepresentation of fact.

What about his degree? Do you blindly believe that he has a M.A. in political science from the New Delhi University?

While the issue of the minority attacks are emerging, he keeps very silent.

This double acting is being watched by the whole world while he is spreading the gospel of "yoga" around the world. Dear friend, truth can't be hidden for ever it has life, and so, it will come to the open ground one day.
