Cake with Owaisi pic cut on MNS chief Raj Thackeray's birthday

Mumbai, Jun 14 (PTI) : A cake with the image of AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi was cut during the celebrations to mark the birthday of MNS chief Raj Thackeray here today, evoking a strong reaction from the Hyderabad-based party.

Raj was greeted by his supporters at his residence 'Krishna Kunj' at Dadar in Central Mumbai, where some supporters brought the cake with Owaisi's image on it and cut it.

The action drew condemnation from AIMIM, whose MLA Waris Pathan demanded action against those who cut the cake.

Raj had targeted Owaisi triggered a row early this year saying he would not chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', even if a knife is put to his throat.

"Come to Maharashtra, I will put a knife to your throat," the MNS chief had said.

Extreme views bring sharp divisions and create bad blood.
Firstly OWAISI shouldn't have said that I would not chant 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', even if a knife is put to his throat.
He is a leader, If he don't do at why propagate such anti national views?
Raj seized the opportunity to target Owaisi,in a reciprocal way, that also is very harsh!
But somehow, in this universe, harsh people invite harsh opponents in their life it is law of the nature!

What Owaisi has told is, "I respect our country. I say Jai Bharath or Jai Hind. I sing national anthem. But, cannot use word Matha". There is a group of Christianity in Kerala, who do not sing national anthem and court has given judgement in favour of them. According to court they have to standup during natinal anthem and no need to sing.

Now about cake, I have seen a sports personality cutting cake with design of national flag.

MNS has ignited it. Now this trend will follow. Everyone will start cutting the cake of their rival face. Next turn will be cake with Raj Thackeray face being cut by AIMIM leaders or supporters.

There is a saying. "Phattar agar upar phekoge to wo phattar neeche apne hi sar par akar girega."

It's better to stop such cheap tactics and rivalry amomg each other... Better to concentrate and focus on Nation building, which should be the prime motto of each and evety political parties, not to play any dirty politics for own purpose.

Leaders of both communities should stop using provocative language. Violence begets violence. Eye for an eye and the whole country becomes blind. May good sense prevail among these leaders. Let us forget all fissiparous tendencies and build our great nation.
