Dell, Shiv Nadar University join hands for research


New Delhi, June 13 (IANS): Dell and Shiv Nadar University have signed an agreement to collaborate and drive research and innovation, a statement said here on Monday.

Under this agreement, Dell will engage with faculty members at the university to mentor students and jointly work on technology projects in areas such as big data, cloud computing and Internet of Things.

Through this partnership, Dell has set up two laboratories jointly with the university to integrate theoretical concepts with practical experience.

"The labs are a platform for us to collaborate with the faculty, and provide practical learning experiences for students on cutting-edge technology projects. Businesses today evolve at a rapid pace and technology acts as a catalyst in helping businesses race ahead," said Hemal Shah, Executive Director and Asia Pacific & Japan Chief Information Officer, Dell India.

"The Dell labs will enable our students to undertake original research in focused industry-relevant projects at the university," said Rupamanjari Ghosh, Vice Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University.
