Four killed in J&K highway accident


Jammu, June 5 (IANS): Four persons were killed and nine others injured in an accident on the Pathankot-Jammu national highway, officials said on Sunday.

"A trailer coming from Kathua to Jammu turned turtle in Samba chowk on the Pathankot-Jammu national highway on Saturday night at around 9.00 p.m.," a senior police official told IANS.

"It hit several pedestrians, vehicles and shops along the highway. Two vehicles were completely crushed under the trailer."

"Traffic on the busy highway remained suspended for several hours due to the accident," the official added.
