Those who looted India will pay: PM

Modi targets graft at anniversary bash

New Delhi, May 29 (DHNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday declared an all-out war against corruption. Capping his government’s second anniversary, Modi said people who have eaten into the country’s wealth and poor’s share, will be held accountable.

Modi alluded to the Congress and said only beneficiaries of corruption worth Rs 36,000 crore were indulging in obstructionist politics. “In our campaign to stop corruption, we plugged leaks worth over Rs 36,000 crore. What will people affected by steps taken by the government to stop corruption do but criticise?” Modi said in his half-an-hour speech.

He flew straight from Meghalaya to wind up the event at India Gate. He cited instances of detecting 1.62 lakh crore fake ration cards and fake enrolment of teachers drawing salaries worth Rs 540 crore to impress upon the government's anti-corruption measures.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan featured in a segment show on women and child, focussing on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, undeterred by Congress questioning his presence with his name figuring in Panama Paper leaks, Bollywood actor R Madhavan and Doordarshan anchor Neelam Sharma hosted the mega event – “Ek Nayi Subah (A New Beginning)” aired live by the public broadcaster from its makeshift studio at the historic India Gate.

Sporting a light saffron-coloured jacket over white kurta-pyjama, Big B interacted with girl students and obliged two of them by reading out their poem on the need to believe in themselves and rendered a couple of lines from his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s famous poem “Madhusala”.

To a query from a Class VII girl on how he became Big B, Bachchan squatted on the floor and said, “Big B is just a name people in the media have given me. Here, look I am smaller than you.”

He cited a Sanskrit mantra to remind the exalted position women have enjoyed in Hindu religion, with Goddess Saraswati being the symbol of knowledge, Goddess Lakshmi of wealth, while Goddess Durga and Goddess Kali represented strength and power.

Bachachan, who is also the United Nation’s ambassador for Girl Child mission, signed off by appearing on a segment themed on “Big B on Pride of Being India”. At the beginning of the NDA gala, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said a good monsoon would boost the economy and warned that black money hoarders whose names figured in the Panama Papers leaks, would be prosecuted.
"If monsoon is good this year, then the rural economy will get a boost and India's economy will benefit," Jaitley said.

Young ministers Kiren Rijiju, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Babul Supriyo teamed up to share their views on 'New Vision, New India' and praised Modi for bringing change in different sectors. "He is the most youthful among us," said Rathore.

Doordarshan weaved Modi government’s achievements through narratives, documentaries, live interactions, flash back videos and cultural extravaganza to depict “A New Beginning” in different sectors. many Union ministers were invited to the studio to briefly speak about their flagship schemes like Jan Dhan, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat, Khoya Paya and Indradhanush.

Social activists and Bollywood artistes like Raveena Tandon, Anil Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Kailash Kher and Indian Idol child star Nahid too shared their individual experiences and entertained the audience.

Others from the Union Cabinet participated in the media blitzkrieg which began with Modi’s rally in western UP to wind up on June 10.

Likewise the Panama show shortly will deliver big promise to stimulate the eardrum of the gullible electorate of India who were running behind the aachi din march. The GDP of India is at the mercy of the monsoon. Monsoon may be blessing the Panama show of India.

Why even the total list of the black money holders can't be published as yet? The financial guru of the world, Arun Jaitly may say an excuse that the list can't be published due to security reasons.

Yes, those who looted India, must pay. But, Modi Govt., has failed in every front to prove anything todate even after two years.

There were enough scams surfaced even in BJP ruled states. But, nothing happened even there, despite clear evidence of conflicts of interest.

That exactly why BJP govt has rightfully earned the crown as FEKU Govt. One has to disagree with this only if he is trained with RSS or IM.

There is a kind of reptile that is completely green in colour. You can't spot it because it always makes green tree/bushes is abode.

Similarly, you can't detect animosity in Modi against a certain family. Did you guess he would meet a PM of a European country to barter Keralite fishermen's head with information about a defence deal ? It all came out after a foreign individual revealed it.

Therefore, keep your 'Kumbalakai' for yourself and let other be watchful. You continue with your hero-worship of Modi like the cat draining the milk with eyes closed and thinks nobody is watching.

Change is not new to Indians. ABV's governance never got re-elected. Karnataka never gave more than one term to BJP. Well, you may ask 'what about Gujarat' but you also may not have read anywhere that there are 17 scams in the state that the government does not want Lok Ayukta to touch. Today two men got caught with fake Indian currency in Ahmedabad - no, they did not come from Pakistan, not of the faith that Pakistan follows - got a hint ?

"Those who looted India will pay: PM"

    Quote
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely make a stopover in Switzerland on his way to the US next month to discuss with Swiss authorities the issue of illicit cash stashed in banks there in a move which is being seen as significant in the context of the NDA government's assertion that it is doing all it can to unearth black money
    Unquote

Well.. Well... with such an efficient PM who is ready to stoop any level to target a particular family and to prove how much it looted India, here is another attempt.

Good luck Mr. Modi, let Indians see what more is there that you do to prove looting and how much you loot to prove it ! Because to visit Switzerland while visiting US one should travel in a triangular trip from India ?

But who is paying for it ? None other than INDIANS ! Good job !

Do you know even Jasodaben is entitled to security ? Do you even know who she is ?

This is how our stupid Interior Ministry functions. People don't have sufficient constables but the political kith and kin are entitled for it.

Yeah.... well said. Congress led UPA had outstanding Economists including the former PM Manmohan Singh, but how they swallowed the nation by scam after scam during their rule is there in front of us. No need of any further explanation. Shameless people.....
Those who loot public money should suffer from the highest disease, only GOD has to punish them. Absolutely no hope on Judiciary as Lawyers, Police & the Media are Corrupt. Corruption is the lesson taught by Corrupt Congress to all of us Indians.

If we need to believe what you say, do some homework on your now close associate & friend Mr. Amitabh? Panama Papers have already exposed. It is not impossible but needs some special initiative & sincerity to conduct thorough study on the matter and convince the public.

Modi has been sent by God to the nation. Those who looted all these years have tough time ahead as they have to find a job to lead their life as they can't live lavish life on tax payer money any more.
Long live Modi & his wonderful team.

Congress out of arrogance of power ruling country for almost 60 years indulged in huge corruption thinking no one is going to unearth or question it, but now its sources are plugged without any fear or favour. This has shocked congress completely so making issue of non-issues targeting modiji by all ways possible but their are no takers, they are failing. Country is progressing under Modiji's leadership. Congi is decimating.

Mr Joseph Gonsalves. Have you ever had a subject called economics?. if you were a student who had learnt economics then you would not have commented like this.price is a play of demand and supply. Dhaal prices are not regulated by the government. this time because of drought there is short supply pushing the prices up. if the prices are artificially increased thru hoarding then one can blame govt for not cracking down on hoarders. but you should prove govt indulged in it.

How come Onion prices were very high. Is it because of UPA miss-rule???!!

In the last 65 years agricultural land has not much increased but the number of stomachs has significantly increased. so naturally the demand will increase at a greater pace than supply. give your advice to the political parties that patronize those religion who promote population bombs even at the time when resources are in scarcity.

When UPA was in power and during time of drought prices of commodities went up all bhakts started shouting hoarding black marketing is been done by the government, now when the prices have gone up its because of drought , Supply and Demand philosophy comes in, and if you are educated pls. tell us if there is price rise who is to be blamed government or the opposition ??????

Why your demand and supply law of Economics doesn't apply to petroleum products particularly in India? There's a glut in the crude oil market and prices have hit the rock bottom in the international market and law of Economics applies very well as far as international market. But when it comes to Indian domestic market we have our own set of laws dictated by private refiners like Ambanis and Ruwias which are targeted at skyrocketing their profit margins!

God knows when looters will pay!
Looters will pay bribes, to come out clean or run out of the country like Mallya, Lalith Modi did!
Poor hit by inflation,Inflation is another kind of taxation without legislation.
In reality, law abiding citizens only pay to looters get rich and rule over us.
If looters don't pay back, definitely Govt side them by sharing their loot.
