Moradabad mayor dies of cardiac arrest


Lucknow, May 26 (IANS): Senior BJP leader and Moradabad Mayor Veena Agarwal died early Thursday after a cardiac arrest, a party leader said. She was the first woman mayor of the city.

Bharatiya Janata Party leaders said she was rushed to the Escorts hospital in Delhi by her husband, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. 

The Moradabad Municipal Corporation has announced a three-day mourning.
