PM Modi accorded ceremonial welcome in Iran


Tehran, May 23 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi was today accorded a ceremonial welcome as he met Iranian President Hassan Rouhani for talks to deepen trade, investment and energy ties.

Modi, the first Prime Minister to visit Iran on a bilateral visit in 15 years, was received by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the forecourts of Saadabad Palace - the seat of executive in Iran.

Military bands played national anthems of the two countries after which Modi inspected guard of honour.

Following this, the two leaders had a 30-minute restricted meeting to discuss bilateral issues of strategic and business importance.

Delegation-level talks followed it, leading to signing of agreements on development of Chahabar port on southern coast of Iran, setting up of an aluminium smelter plant and rail line.

    ofcourse he is respected world over for his credibility and personality and the changes he is implementing and administration and development of our country.. but unfortunate some pretend to be blindfolded and happy with negative comments...
    My relatives abroad say the changes they find in immigration and not being of BJP find the system is getting better..

    Hope NaMo took along payment of 1.5% interest on outstanding oil bills. The amount later to be diverted back to India as an Islamic country does not offer/receive interest in any form.

    Once again Iranian cafe will flourish in corner of the city..with there cut chai, maska and tasty omlettes.
    Our's is second largest country where in 110 V are residing the most.
    Balancing act of modiji to be waived...in international arena.
