AgustaWestland deal: BJP most welcome to make revelations, says Sonia

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS): Accepting the challenge from the BJP on fresh revelations pertaining to the AgustaWestland chopper deal, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday said "they are most welcome" to present it.

On being told that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to come up with new revelations on AgustaWestland deal, Gandhi said: "They are most welcome."

Defence Minister Manohor Parrikar will make a statement in the Rajya Sabha at 2 p.m. on Wednesday during a debate on AgustaWestland issue.

The Congress went into a huddle on Tuesday to chalk out a strategy ahead of the defence minister's statement.

Senior Congress leaders went to Sonia Gandhi's residence in the evening to discuss how to counter the BJP in parliament on the issue.
