Srinagar, Apr 20 (IANS): The wife of a senior army officer was killed on Wednesday when a vehicle in which she was travelling hit a tree in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A senior paramilitary officer was also critically injured in the accident near Pattan town in the northern district of Baramulla.
Police identified the dead woman as Vandhana Rathu, wife of Colonel Sourab Rathu of 21 Rajputana Rifles. Manish Kumar, assistant commandant of the Central Reserve Police Force, was seriously injured.
