100 people fall ill of food poisoning in Bihar village


Patna, April 19 (IANS): At least 100 people fell ill on Tuesday due to food poisoning after partaking of meals at a village feast in Bihar's Supaul district, police said.

Those who complained of uneasiness and nausea after the 'bhoj' (feast) at Murli village in Supaul, about 300 km from here, were admitted to the health centre there for treatment. 

The condition of most victims was out of danger, an official said.

Doctors treating the patients told police that it was a case of food poisoning.
